Here we are halfway through February and I’m welcoming the new year? Yes I am!
I’ve mentioned before, you can start any time you want. The first day, week, month of the year is not the only time to welcome new things. You can reflect and you can plan as your heart desires. Celebrate a new beginning or a restart any time you choose! <3 (Be sure to read to the bottom of this post to see how I’m celebrating this blogging restart.)
Around here, it’s been months of intense writing as I submitted two applications to graduate school for my Masters in Social Work. While I thought I would be able to jump right back into blogging that was certainly not the case. I needed time to decompress, in a major way. I put so much of my heart and soul into those applications, and especially the written statements, that I needed time to recharge and I am so happy that I gave myself permission.
So now I’m back! (not from outer space ;) I am energized and ready to write again this year. To encourage and to inspire through creativity, mindfulness, and, as always, by wholeheartedly embracing vulnerability.
What to Expect
The current plan for 2016 is two posts per week, one on Tuesday and one on Friday. I also plan on continuing with the Take a Moment series, which is a favorite of mine. So be sure to check back! Join the mailing list to get the newest posts straight to your inbox.
In addition, I’ve been using the Mindful Memory Keeping Facebook page as a place to share an abundance of helpful articles and resources on creativity, mindfulness, and vulnerability. You can like the page here and if you want to be notified when a new Facebook post goes up click on the “Liked” dropdown menu and set notifications to “All Posts.”
Pinterest is still a popular place to get inspired and we have an amazing Pinterest Group Board called Mindfulness and Meditation. Head over that way and give it a follow to see the best mindfulness, meditation, intentional living, and self-care links from around the web as shared by myself and other group board members including Julie Fiandt, Lauren Fowler, and Katy Allred.

Here's that gallery wall I've been previewing. Lots of inspirational messages with my family right in the middle. Having this right above my creative work space is a beautiful reminder to push through the fear and to get to the love of what I'm doing. A reminder to take risks and be vulnerable in writing or scrapbooking or art journaling…A reminder that no matter what I do or what I make I am loved and love others. That's what is important. ❤️
