Mindful Memory Keeping

Inspired living through mindfulness, creativity, and by embracing vulnerability

Take a Moment

July 4, 2015

There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living -Nelson Mandela

In the Take a Moment series I encourage you to take a moment for memory keeping and mindfulness. I add in some randomness, share new things I’m learning, and let you know about interesting things I find along the way. Enjoy!

Mantras make me happy.

A couple weeks ago I committed to waking up earlier. Update: It hasn’t been going well. This article has some great tips to help.

A beautifully designed, FREE download  for your summer memory keeping projects from my fave online printer.

We’re not big baseball fans but this tray art is just so cool (via San Pedro Today).

I’m a tea lover. These meditations from Madame Flavour are perfect for your 3 minute steep time (via @smiling_mind).

CBS News follows up its 60 Minute mindfulness segment with a special on Meditation, Mindfulness, and Spirituality.

Trying this smoothie recipe from @meditatemovement this week.

The Good Life Project has become one of my favorite podcasts (even though it didn’t make this list). The interview with Susan Cain of The Quiet Revolution speaks to me.

A great roundup of Paleo recipes for today’s celebrations (via local blogger Adventures of a Sick Chick).

And finally Take a Moment for some desktop wallpaper inspiration. As part of this series I’m pairing a quote, curated from my Wise Words board on Pinterest, with one of the amazing images from Unsplash. Click the image above, then right click to save it to your computer and use it as your desktop wallpaper.

Have a great weekend! Thank you for taking a moment with me.

Thank you for including my 4th of July roundup! Love this list…I especially need to take the advice from the article about waking up earlier. It’s one of those things I have yet to “master.” I’m definitely not a morning person, but I’d love to change that one of these days. Thanks again! :)

You’re so welcome! I’m not a morning person either but I feel so much more refreshed when I wake up early. I guess like all things it takes time and I have be gracious with myself when I don’t jump with the alarm. Hopefully these tips will help both of us =)
